This week saw the much anticipated re-opening of the classic Stockholm restaurant The Veranda at Grand Hôtel. The interior design is described as timeless elegance with traditional Swedish influences suitable for every age at both lunch and dinner. The Veranda has been a Stockholm institution since 100 years, and is famous for its fantastic Smörgåsbord, Crayfish and shellfish buffet.
I remember some years ago when my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. Our children were very young at the time and we could only be gone for a night. We checked in at the Grand Hôtel and didn´t leave until check out. We had a great dinner at the Veranda overlooking our beautiful capital by night and then went for drinks in the Cadier Bar. Can´t wait to check in again...
