Which hotel we stayed at in Hamburg? After much research online the choice fell at Atlantic Kempinski by the Alster this time.

This is definitely a very nice hotel, although some parts could be slightly bettered. When you stay in a five star hotel the expectations just are higher. The SPA area for example didn´t quiet live up to five star hotel standard in my opinion. I didn´t take any spa treatment so about those I know nothing. But the pool area could be nicer. However, the rooms were great since they´ve recently been renovated. The breakfast was large and didn´t leave much else to wish for and in a beautiful milieu in the mornings. If you´re looking for a very traditional and classic hotel in Hamburg, this is a great choice. And an extra plus for the very friendly staff.
